Shih Tzu
The Shih Tzu, pronounced sit sue, or sheet sue, came by way of China. They are ranked at number 10 as noted by the AKC.
They are an alert and lively breed that can be a joy to have in your home. Bred for companionship, they do love the company of people and get along fine with older children.
You don't have to worry about exercise, for the dog I mean, as this pooch will be content with just a good walk around the house or two. Considered to be a very smart dog, they are easily trainable. My research found that one may need a little more patience, and persistence when it comes to potty training, but of course, it can be done.
The shizi, or "lion" dog has a beautiful, long, silky, and flowing coat. You just might have your work, all cut out for you, here in the grooming department. They do require at least a daily brushing, and with that beautiful coat, some cutting and trimming every now and then.
You might want to invest some money and take a grooming class, or if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, take her to a pro.
My friend and co-worker Jeanette, tries her best at grooming her little wonders Bumpy and Ana, you're welcome to see a picture of them on my page
Puppy Grooming.
No, not dirty "Honey Girl", further down the bottom of that long page, sorry, but, anyway, I think it was a job well done. Good job Jeanette!
