Puppy Training Tips
Here are some free puppy training tips and useful advise that I hope you can use.
Puppies are a joy and more than a handful, but, if you put all of your love and care into raising and training your puppy, it's really not hard at all. All you have to remember is, she's just a baby dog, and she's looking at you for guidance.
NO SPOILING---NO GIVING IN
You just caught her chewing on your shoe, and you know that she needs to be corrected. It doesn't help when she looks so innocent like "Kahu" does here, and you feel like, well, maybe I'll wait till she gets a little older. Right? Wrong.
Free puppy training tip # 1 Start training from the moment you get her. When those puppy eyes give you that look, stay on track, be gentle, but be firm. The sooner she learns the better. Get a lot of chew sticks or chew toys, puppies love and need to chew on stuff. This should keep her from chewing up your whole house, your fingers and your toes.
IS IT TIME TO EAT?
You come home from shopping, not even gone for an hour, well, maybe just a little longer than that, so you go into your house and ask everyone who fed the puppy. All three say, "I did." Free puppy training tip # 2 Make a schedule, set a routine, and stick to it. Your puppy will soon get used to it, making training easier for everyone, including puppy. This includes
feeding times.
Get the whole family involved, everyone must be on the same page, on the same path, so puppy doesn't get confused and overfed.
WHERE IS MY SPACE?
It's time for everyone to go to sleep, and you're thinking about having your puppy sleep with you in your bed, after all she is just a puppy. That's entirely up to you, but, I hope that when you go into a deep sleep and start dreaming, that your puppy doesn't get up and decides to pee at the other end of the your bed, or worst yet, fall off.

Free puppy training tip # 3 Teach her the house rules, show her where to sleep, where to eat and drink water, and most important, where to poop and pee. Get her a crate or pet bed to sleep in, this will be her place where she can get some peaceful, stress-free solitude. When she gets a little older, you may want to get something that is larger than a crate that she can call her very own. Why not give her what she deserves, her own bed or sofa. She will just love it and you will too. Here is a site that goes beyond pampering.........
