Puppy Toys To Satisfy Your Furry Friend

Puppy toys will help your puppy's natural instinct to chew, chase, and tug. Please stay away, and save money from toys that are cheaply made, as they can be destroyed easily and can cause more harm than good if swallowed.

While all toys, no matter what the cost, depending on time and usage, will eventually get frayed or damaged. Be sure to always check your puppy's toys from time to time for safety reasons.

Chew Toys

Puppies love to chew, especially when they're in their teething period. Chewing actually relieves the soreness in their gum and aides in the teething itself. By having chew toys available, your puppy's chewing urges will be satisfied and will not be driven to chew on anything else like your shoes, furniture, rugs, and what have you.

Train your puppy at an early age to chew on chew toys. Constructive chewing will naturally be healthier for your puppy, and will prevent some forms of behavioral problems.

Chase Toys

Dogs such as the Wire Fox Terrier or the Border Terrier were fist used to chase rabbits, badgers, or other small animals. Today most of the terrier breed are seldom used for hunting and are now considered as a companion pet.

Chase toys are a great way to provide daily exercise, to form that ever important bond between you and your pet, and satisfy your puppy's natural urges.

Tug Toys

Have you ever tried to play "Keep Away" or "Tug of War" with your puppy? Does your puppy like to play with you especially if there is a tug toy involved? Of course!

Almost all puppies love that feeling that pulling and tugging creates. It's a game that stimulates the senses, and a game that can be disguised as a training session, stress free.

When using a tug toy as a training aide, your puppy will think, "Wow, I like playing this game, I love that toy, but, what do I need to do, to get it"?

Your puppy will be eager to learn at this point, and most important, his attention will be focused on you.

As I've said before, and cannot stress enough, you must have fun while training to have your puppy in the right frame of mind.

Always end the game on your terms before your puppy calls it quits.

Keep possession of the toy when the game is over to show your puppy that you're the one in control of the toy, the game, and him.

When you find a puppy toy that your puppy likes, it's best to get a few of them, just in case it gets lost, gets frayed, or worst yet, discontinued.

When you play with your puppy, always be nice and be happy, like a mirror, your puppy will be nice and be happy too.
