German Shepherd Dog


The German Shepherd Dog moves up a notch to the number 2 spot for 2009 in the top ten of dog breeds. These are the dogs that, I think, serve mankind the most.

You see them aiding our police force, putting their life in front of their human counterpart. Their loyalty and courage is unsurpassed.

With their keen sense of smell, they work with search and rescue teams, drug enforcement agencies, and as a tracker, hunting down the wanted.

The GSD are intelligent, are quick to learn, and understands instructions, making them easy to train. As with most dogs, you need to start training at an early age.

Expose them to different experiences and people,(socialization) at an early age. They are good with children, will be loyal to your family, and will form a bond with people they know.
