Dog Training Advise

Here is some dog training advise that can make raising a puppy go smoother.

Before you think about getting that addition to your family, you need to know some things ahead of time, before jumping in and always expecting the best from your four-legged wonder.

Some of us, sometimes, expect our puppies or dogs to learn everything right away.

Maybe, that whatever you're trying to do, or plan to do, concerning teaching or training, has got you wondering.

How do I go about it the right way, what am I missing, or what am I doing wrong? Do I need some dog training advise?

Well, take a step back. Relax. Sometimes it is not the dog training method, or the dog training technique that you are using, but a few things that you already have and use daily.

You may use these skills at work, home, school, or play, so, all you need to do now is, use these while training your new puppy.

DEDICATION

Common sense goes along way. To be successful at anything one does, you need to be dedicated. For instance, if you plan on potty training your new puppy, then do it. Don't start off on the right paw, then say after a few days, weeks, or a few spots on the carpet, you decide to give up. A puppy or dog needs dedication from you in order to know what is expected of her.

You need to be dedicated to succeed, so take dog training and this dog training advice seriously, and follow it through. Set a schedule, and try to stick to it as closely as possible.

CONSISTENCY

Here is the most important dog training advise that I can give anyone. When raising a puppy, consistency, by far, will not only make training go a lot easier for you, but it also helps your puppy to realize, what it is that you want, and when.

Let's say that it's time to teach her the command SIT. She sits and you praise her and give her a treat reward.

Now, the next day comes and you say "SIT", but this time you do not give her the treat reward. You may confuse her, and the next time, well, maybe she won't sit. Try to be consistent, especially when teaching obedient commands to a young pup until she gets wiser and older and knows the command, no matter where you are, and without a treat reward.

The same applies for mealtimes and potty times. Showing her where to eat, the time to eat, the place you want her to do her business etc.. Being consistent with your pup will make her understand what you want sooner. Best to have someone come over,(that knows what to do) if you make other plans and cannot be there. that way it does not interfere with her training and schedule.

PATIENCE

Rome was not built in a day. Potty training and obedience training, takes a lot of time and patience. When you are dedicated and consistent, patience will and should come naturally.

Just do it, hour by hour, day to day, week to week, and month to month. Spending some quality time with your puppy, is the next best dog training advice that everyone should use. Next thing you know, your dog will practically read your mind and make you proud.

RESPECT

When you get to know what your dog likes and dislikes, learn to respect that. At the same time, your furry friend learns what you like and dislike, and respects you back. Forming that ever important bond starts early, and can only get stronger and stronger with due respect.

Learn to apply these simple things when raising or training your little one. Follow a little dog training advise, and make life easier and happier for the both of you.
