Dog Breeds the Top Ten

Of all the dog breeds (160), which ones are in the top ten?

Each and every year the American Kennel Club announces the most favorite, of all those pooches, that make it to this elite list.

The most popular of those four-legged friends are chosen by registered ownership throughout the entire United States.

When planning on getting a puppy, or thinking about adding a

furry member to your family, it's best to do some research on the type of pooch that will fit your lifestyle, and or, your needs.

Do your homework, before going out and getting your pet, you may need to know things such as, how big will she get, how much exercise will she need, or what is her life expectancy.

Puppies are small, cute and adorable, and whether we like it or not, they will not stay that way. Will you be able to accommodate a pup that will grow to 50 pounds or more? You need to think about shelter and food costs.

Will the one that you choose be easy to train? Some of our canine friends take a lot of more time and patience when it comes to this matter.

The following list does not mean that you should get any one of these dog breed favorites. Take some time, do the research, maybe the perfect dog for you, is of a different breed, or maybe of a mixed breed. Always be sure to check an animal shelter first, that perfect one might just be there, looking for that perfect home.
