Boxer

The Boxer, no, not the one that flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee. but the dog who may have gotten this name from being able to stand on his hind legs, and put up his front paws as if ready to go a round.

The kind of dog like the one named "Oscar " from South America, made famous as the talking dog, awhile back on YouTube.

This dog's stature and looks may look intimidating, but will make a great family pet, and guard dog. Forming a strong bond to you, your family, or other pets or dogs during early socialization is key. With the right training, as with most dogs, this dog can be a great family pet.

Having a lot of spunk, you do need to give this dog a lot of exercise daily, maybe a 1-1/2 hour walk, or better yet, a nice jog at the park.

Failure to do so will result in a dog that can have behavioral problems due to boredom.

Exercise is a must for all dogs, some need more than others. Learn more about these "Fun"damentals on my Play and Exercising page.
