Beagle

The Beagle, at number 5 of the top ten of dog breeds does well with children, making for another good choice for that addition to your family.

They are so gentle and friendly, they work as pet therapists helping to lift up the spirits of those in convalescent homes, and hospitals.

beagle, dog

This breed of dog is very intelligent and mild mannered, you should have no problems when it comes to basic dog training.

They need lots of outdoor exercise, as with most dogs, but be careful to keep them on a leash at all times. Bred for hunting small game, such as rabbits, their sensitive nose and natural instinct to hunt, will at most times, make them go off into a different direction when out for a walk.

No matter how well trained at obedience commands, you will probably be the last thing on his mind.

The nose rules when it comes to this lovable pooch.
